Someone posted this quote the other day, and I’ve been thinking about it a lot.
“The biggest threat to America is a silent church.”
My conclusion to all of my thoughts is that I don’t agree. I mean, I get it. I understand what the writer was going for. But here’s what I’d substitute for silent.
“The biggest threat to America is a non-discerning and non-hearing church.”
Ok. So why?
If we start telling people to stand up and not be silent...tons of what we will have is a lot of CLANGING CYMBALS. Noise. Well, more noise. Noise is not needed in this hour. Hearing the Holy Spirit and walking in massive discernment is. THAT’S what needs to be taught.
