24 Days with Luke / Day 5
MORNING THOUGHTS ☕️: “That night, in a FIELD, shepherds were watching over their flocks when SUDDENLY, an Angel of the Lord appeared in radiant splendor before them, lighting up the field with the blazing glory of God.” - Luke 2:8-9
First of all, can you even imagine? You’re legit just standing in a field doing your job and an angel appears out of nowhere. They all saw it.
Second of all, God has fields for all of us. Places of vocation. Places of serving. Places of watching over others. Out and about.
It’s proof positive that you don’t need to be sitting in a church pew somewhere or be doing some religious act in order to have a encounter. God knows where to find us. He knows who to go to for what.
In a field. Out and about. Doing their JOB. I’ve often said that harvests happen in fields, not buildings…and apparently, the announcement of the “rescuer” being born was the same.
