Jesus talks a lot about REPENTANCE in Luke 13.
I don’t know about you, but I don’t love that word…it gives me old school, tv evangelist, over the top religious, finger shaking in your face vibes. It makes me think of the street corner preachers with signs saying “repent or go to hell!” I never did get all of that.
But. Listen to this…
Did you know that repent in the concordance is “metaneo” which means TO THINK.
Ok. I LOVE to think. Ponder. Reflect. I love to “consider my ways”. I love to see which of MY ways don’t line up with God’s ways.
Metaneo asks us to make a decision, to change our mind, change our ways, and subsequently, change our actions.
It’s a step. A new way of living and being. It’s a humbling…of realizing his ways are higher and better. It’s a yielding to the person of Jesus and the life he offers each of us.
Now that, my friends, is a lovely invitation.

You are AMAZING, thank you for your servant heart to the King of kings.
Selah - to hang, to praise, to lift up, to pause, or to think about God's truths.
Love you dear friend
