Small to big. I used to talk about this in business. Luke 19 reminded me of it in the parable of the minas. If he can trust us in SMALL matters, he will trust us in BIG. That’s kind of how the journey with Jesus starts. We begin to hear his voice. There’s a small ask. We obey. Holla! Faith muscle is starting to build a little. Then, a bigger ask. We listen. We obey. Faith and trust are being built. We learn to hear his voice in small ways so that when the big ways come we KNOW that we know that it’s Him. I love that.
It also reminded me of the time the Lord showed me a treasure chest full of keys. He then said to me “the more you give out, the more you’ll get.” This is exactly what he’s saying at the end of that parable…that to all who have been faithful, he will give even more to them.
Again. It’s contrary. You’d think if you gave out all the keys they’d just be gone. But that’s not how the kingdom works. We sow, we reap, We give, we receive. We lose, we gain.
What a beautiful place to live.
