24 Days w/Luke: Day 4

MORNING THOUGHTS ☕️

I remember yearsss ago..a very well known leader/minister and I were meeting. He said to me: “I have this huge ministry and a large portion of my audience is women and yet, I don’t have a woman’s voice. I will give you access to alllllll of this but you’re going to have to learn and use my language”

I instantly thought of Luke 4. The devil used the same tactic with Jesus. He waved his hands in a huge sweeping gesture and basically said “I’ll give you allllll the kingdoms of THIS world, IF you bow down and worship me.”

You see, when we’re tempted to bow down for access to the kingdoms of THIS world, there’s always a price to pay…some steeper than others. It may be your marriage, your health, your peace, your time…but have no doubt, the kingdoms of this world will cost you.

Just like Jesus, when we answer the enemy with a resounding NO and when we KNOW which Kingdom we already belong to…the kingdoms of this world pale in comparison and grow strangely dim.

Watch out for those over the top offers. Weigh the cost. And believe me, there always is one.
