Does an orange get mad at an apple for being an apple? I don’t think so.
But.
Somehow, people, including myself, can get upset with someone because of their inability to “behave” a certain way.
This actually reflects a shortcoming in ourselves because we’re looking to a PERSON to fulfill a need in us.
We never pick up an apple and curse it for not being an orange. We expect an apple to be an apple and we appreciate it for what it is and the qualities it carries.
Think about how powerful this is..if you and I could appreciate a person for EXACTLY the way God made them and NOT for the way WE think they should be or what we perceive they are lacking.
Today, let’s simply appreciate people for who they are and how God made them.
