MORNING THOUGHTS ☕️: Still in Galatians 6 this morning love bugs!

Let everyone be devoted to fulfill the work God has given them to do with excellence, and their joy will be in doing what’s right and being THEMSELVES, and NOT in being affirmed by others.

Boy oh boy. Loaded. So much we could go into, but I want to touch on that last part.

I used to do everything to be affirmed by others. Oh, I didn’t realize that was what I was doing…but, it was. I had no joy in simply being ME…heck, I didn’t even know who ME was.

I looked OUTSIDE OF ME to find out what was BEST FOR ME. Ummm….no. Wrong.

I asked too many people for their opinions on MY life. I sought recognition and praise over rest and peace. I looked to the world to figure out what I wanted to do and who I wanted to be instead of INQUIRING of the Lord.

We make wrong choices when we inquire of the wrong source.

Read that again.

Hard lesson to learn. It’s taken me YEARS.
