By faith Sarah.

I had something totally different to write this morning. But, I woke up to the news that a beautiful friend went to be with Jesus last night. For the past three days, I felt a heaviness and could not get her off of my mind. As we headed out to dinner, all I could think about was Sarah and I knew it would be last night.

Whoa she fought. She fought in the natural and she fought in the spirit. She STOOD on the word of God. Her words, her faith, her battle, her BEING touched and changed so many.

As I was journaling this morning about Sarah and Christine…I thought of the scripture that talks about the PATH OF LIFE. It’s Psalm 16:11.

“Because of you, I know the path of life. As I taste the FULLNESS OF JOY in your presence, at your right side I experience divine pleasures evermore!”

I saw their words and their faith as STONES for others to step on. The stones were on a path that led to one place and one place only…Jesus.

That’s what they did. They pointed people to Jesus.

Lives well-lived and now, they are truly ALIVE.

P.S. Sarah is the one who texted me the picture of Johnie and Shanice from Kenya. She was there the day their grandmother dropped them off. Without Sarah, we wouldn’t have them here and their story would look very different. The ripple effect of her life will be tangible in ours forever and always.
