Decision-Making

Morning Thoughts ☕️: Happy Friday loves! What a week. Anybody else feeling like we’re on a path of DAILY learning? I know I’m learning more and more about TOTAL RELIANCE on the Lord. The world says we should grow to be more and more independent. I’m going opposite.

We are in the face of some major decisions. I thought it might be helpful if I shared how WE decide. It’s way different than it used to be.

  1. We refrain from getting opinions.

  2. We purposefully get very still + quiet.

  3. We know emotions can lie and toss us to and fro. Emotions aren’t bad…they just can’t be the basis.

  4. We know that the Lord knows the best path. And so, we ASK.

  5. We seek wisdom from a handful of people we DO LIFE with that we know won’t speak into the situation based on opinion or emotion, but in what they HEAR from the Lord.

  6. We focus on the next best step…not the what ifs and what abouts. This is a hard one.

  7. We walk through the door of the next best step and ASK the Lord to CLOSE doors that need to be closed + OPEN doors that need to be opened. Sometimes, the EASE at which we walk through a next step tells us to keep walking. We NEVER push on a door.

  8. We TRUST the Lord in knowing he loves the people involved way more than we do and that He only wants the best for them. His best won’t look like our best. It will be a step to release the destiny spoken over a person’s life. That best may be a hard best.

  9. We always make sure we are on the same path. God is NOT a God of confusion. He won’t tell me one thing and Keith another. We are one in the spirit. If we’re feeling different things…we wait and don’t act. I for SURE don’t act alone anymore.

  10. We STAND on what we’ve heard. Period. Once we know that we know, that word becomes a rock. We can’t be moved by what others say, think, or do. It’s done. This is the only way we can move forward on MAJOR decisions. Period.

Bottom line…we walk hand in hand with Him and lean not on our OWN understanding, but in ALL our ways acknowledge HIM and know HE will direct our paths!

Love you all. Hope that practical post was helpful. Here’s to making good decisions based on what we HEAR not FEEL.
