Delay.

MORNING THOUGHTS ☕️: I’m in Genesis reading all about Joseph. So much to say…but this was my morning thought:

Sometimes dreams are delayed. And often, in the delay, there are trials galore. Trials that will make you believe the dream will never come to pass. Delay so long it seems it’s simply done. Gone. Forgotten.

But delay means to put off to a later time. It doesn’t mean gone. God is a God of ORDER and often there are other things and people that need to be in place before the dream or vision can come to pass. We don’t know who those people are or what’s going on behind the scenes. We are simply told to WAIT FOR IT even when it “tarries”… for it CERTAINLY WILL COME.

P.S. We can go from delay to done in one moment when it’s TIME.

P.S.S. There’s TONS of purpose in the delay season. Tons.

I love this, I seem to be in a season of delay these days. I am trying to be patient and not hurry what I have been working for. And man I am having some trials during this delay. Thank you for your words today :)

Scripture is full of DELAY! Abraham & Sarah for example, the Israelites wondering in the wilderness, prophets telling of the coming Messiah then 400 years of waiting & so much more. I think that’s more than a clue to hold on, trust in His plan & get still. Great reminder Elizabeth!
