Delayed obedience.

I once heard someone say that delayed obedience is simply disobedience. I tend to agree. And…just this week I’ve experienced it.

On Sunday, the Lord told me to write on PREPAREDNESS. I finally wrote a short post about it last night.

I tried to write on it each day, but nothing flowed. I didn’t know how much or little to say…so, I deleted and delayed. But guess what happened? It was hard to write on anything else. It felt like I was walking through mud instead of my usual flow.

I realized after I wrote the post that it was delayed obedience that caused that feeling. Somehow, when we delay what God has asked us to do…be it big or small…it clogs things up.

It was quite the reminder.
