DEFINE: to set forth the meaning of. To fix or lay down clearly or definitely. To determine or fix the boundaries of.
To set forth the meaning of. Hmmmm…
I know of only ONE person who can do that for you and me.
Oh, the world wants to define us. It wants us to CLEARLY define ourselves. It wants us to have a neat and tidy bio. It needs to know who we are and what we do at all times. It makes people feel safe to know.
BUT GOD designed us and He’s the only one that can define us. Just like the boundaries he put on the ocean…his boundaries are the ones we are to adhere to.
He created us to be ever growing and expanding.
Undefinable.
Jesus was undefinable. People didn’t know how to categorize him. Was he a teacher? A prophet? A healer? Son of God? Crazy man?
He didn’t change to make THEM feel more comfortable.
Today. Let’s not define. Let’s simply discover. Enjoy the process. Let others wiggle in their seats because they can't figure out what box to put us in but for goodness sakes...let’s not hop in that box because of it.
