MORNING THOUGHTS ☕️

Thinking this morning how many times I’ve heard “for such a time as this” used in marketplace settings to inspire people to rise up and be the best they can be. I mean, I get it. We were all born for such a time as this. Each generation. When we are born is not an accident.

But…as I’m reading this morning about a young orphan girl who was obedient, courageous, sacrificed her life for many…a young woman who laid down her own self-interests and plans to step into the purposes of God…it makes me realize how out of context that quote can get.

“For such a time as this” does not look like self promoting and building to climb or take a mountain…it looks like laying it ALL down and sacrificing our lives for others.

It was way less about her being exalted and way more about her being submitted.
