MORNING THOUGHTS ☕️: Only to the extent that we are truly free are we truly free to love. In all the areas where we are not free, we will be triggered by imperfection and will not be able to offer perfect love or anything even close.
If perfect love casts out fear (and it does), and we are unable to love imperfection, then the imperfection in them will bring out the fear in us. The fear in us reflects an inability to TRUST the Lord.
Perfect Love is a person. His name is Jesus. Only in and through Him can we love well. HE is not threatened in the LEAST with imperfection, life issues, trauma, depression, addiction, disease, worry. He’s actually drawn to it.
If that’s what HE’S drawn to…the broken and hurting…then, perhaps, we should be more drawn to it than repelled.
