Go Where HE’S Going.

MORNING THOUGHTS ☕️: Let’s just keep going in this most incredible scripture. Y’all. John 12:25-26. Read it over and over. Let it sink in.

“IF you want to be my disciple, follow me and you will go where I am going. And IF you truly follow me as my disciple, the Father will shower his favor upon your life.” - John 12:26

Lots of If/Thens in scripture and this is a powerful one.

Becoming a disciple ain’t no joke. It’s saying YES to Him and NO to a lot of other things we thought were fab. That makes it sound like you’re signing up for prison camp. Nope…you’re saying yes to the MOST FAB. The fab behind your imagination fab. The most adventurous, exhilarating, mysterious life fab.

It’s getting there that’s the issue. Because, as we read here, we have to FOLLOW HIM where HE is going. No more of this “God, this is what I WANT and I want YOU to follow ME in this and bless it all along the way.”

Nope. That gets abandoned. Now, you get to BE STILL and inquire of Him and wait and listen and then FOLLOW when He shows you where the two of you are going.

Boy oh boy, are we used to taking the reins. But…if we are going to let HIM reign in our lives and in our hearts…we have to give them to Him.

Go where HE is going. Oh, and guess what, it’s usually NOT where the masses are going. It’s the narrow road.
