HIS Truth.

I’m reading in Psalms this month.

Psalms 25:5 “Lead me by YOUR truth and teach me.”

I don’t know about you…but I sure don’t buy into all this “my truth” stuff flying around. Everybody wants THEIR OWN TRUTH. It doesn’t work that way.

Think about it.

We learn. We grow. We change. We have filters based on culture and upbringing and woundings and traumas and influences. We may or may not believe now what we believed in our early years. We are inconsistent. Easily swayed. Change our minds, our opinions, our stance.

But NOT GOD.

He NEVER changes. He’s steadfast. Solid. Immovable. He knows the beginning and the end. He can be trusted day and night, year after year, forever into eternity.

So…I, for one, will pray for him to “lead me in HIS truth and teach me.” I will not look to the world for truth or man for truth or even myself for truth.

I will look to the One who IS truth. Seems like wisdom to me.
