MORNING THOUGHTS ☕️: Ya know…it’s funny how the things we teach are usually the things we have the hardest time learning. Any of you who know me or have taken e-school or been in a Bible study know that I teach “HONOR THE PROCESS” all the time. I mean, ALL the time.
But some days, I realize, I don’t honor my own.
I saw a friend this week (who also happened to be a student in e-school). We were having a conversation around creativity and how, those of us who are (I never thought I was but that’s a whole other topic) can typically have piles and piles and piles of ideas laying around everywhere. Often, we are starters, but not so great in the long haul stuff.
I beat myself up over this. And to some degree…yes…there needs to be a finish…but she looked at me and regurgitated the words I needed to hear: “Elizabeth, honor the process…it’s ALL part of the process.”
Getting it out, trying, writing, creating, painting…whatever it is…wasn’t intended to be perfect. It was intended to be process. It unlocks and stirs up and ultimately leads to somewhere. And the main thing is that GOD loves process and is always IN it. And if He’s in it and loves it…then that makes process HOLY.
Today, let’s honor our own process a little bit more. Whatever it is and whatever that looks like. Let’s honor OTHER’S process as well…for when we sow honor..well, you know the rest.
Love y’all much. Have a GREAT weekend!
