MORNING THOUGHTS ☕️: Y’all…I wrote this originally in 2014. It takes a long time to learn how to live from rest.
True rest comes from TOTAL dependence on God.
In a world that values independence, no wonder so many people are tired.
I've found the more I let go, the more I do NOT try to control or THINK I'm in control, the more I depend on the Lord and realize how much I need Him and others...the more I can rest and be and live freely.
The world wants you to carry the weight on your shoulders, do it all, not show weakness, not ask for help, not depend on others...
"If it is to be, it's up to me"
"If you want it done right, do it yourself"
"The only person you can really trust is yourself"
Women, especially, are sent a message of bringing home the bacon and frying it up in a pan while rocking a baby and running a biz.
It's malarkey.
You CANNOT do it all. You were not made to be so independent. You were made to NEED others and to only do YOUR part...not more, not less. Stop trying to MAKE it happen...in your business, in your world. It's a lie and a trap.
In a world that wants to talk about your STRENGTHS...I say let's recognize our weaknesses and celebrate them because those are the areas we will realize how dependent we really are.
It's a good thing.

Gotta start somewhere! Good for you girl!
I keep hearing God speak “Be still!” to me. REST definitely is a huge part of being still. Last night I stopped multitasking, turned on worship music, & set a timer for 2 minutes. During this 2 minutes, I focused on God’s goodness. First time I’ve ever done that! I know 2 minutes doesn’t seem like a long time, but to someone who struggles with quiet & being still, it was a great start. I’m following His lead!!!
