MORNING THOUGHTS ☕️:
Jesus slept during the storm.
The disciples were freaking out.
Huge waves threatened to overtake their boat.
They had to wake him up.
What was the first thing he said?
“Why are you fearful?”
In the Passion translation it reads “why are you gripped with fear!?!”
He was saying they had a faith that trusts TOO LITTLE. It’s also worded as ‘underdeveloped faith’ which is different than outright unbelief.
So, look at it this way...any suddenly, storm, tumultuous situation...IS an opportunity for more faith and trust to be developed. We get to CHOOSE. Freak out. Wake Jesus up and be like ummm, hello!!?!? We’re in a storm over here!!!
OR.
Develop more trust and learn to operate even more from a posture of rest.
