July.

MORNING THOUGHTS ☕️: For as long as I can remember, I’ve taken July “off”. I learned this valuable lesson from a church we attended. Every July, they shut down so the staff can REST. It’s the 7th month, and God rested from all his works on the 7th day. I think it’s a lovely habit and rhythm to observe. If we go and go and go and never stop long enough to just BE…I think we miss a ton.

Last year, I declared JOY in July and I like that rhythm, too. Joy is a weapon for us. In Habakkuk, joy is used as a verb: to joy. To dance. To shout. To leap. To spin around in intense motion. All of those sound like great things to do in July:).

So. What does this mean for my daily Morning Thoughts? It means if you haven’t subscribed and are just reading them on socials…come subscribe! I have over 4,000 saved and I will be using this month to bring some of those over to the blog and send out daily via email. I won’t be totally off of social as I do have some stories to share…but that’s where my morning thoughts will be.

Here’s to more JOY in July. More rest. More family. More time with the Lord. More writing. More reading. More BEING. It’s a great RESET month and I’m here for it.
