“Make your life a prayer.” 1 Th 5:17
That was the second part of the scripture I posted a few days ago. The first was “feast on JOY.”
It suggests that simply praying before meal time and maybe on Sunday won’t cut it. (Bon Jovi’s “Living ON a prayer” is now running though my head. 😂)
Make my WHOLE life a prayer!? What does this even mean? Other versions say “pray without ceasing”. I looked up “PRAY” in the concordance. It’s a progressive word which includes making a vow but also making requests in the direction of God.
To me, this means that if my life is to BE a prayer…it must be turned over, promised, pledged and committed to Him. It also means that I must know where to direct my requests and “from whom my help comes.”
One place and one place only.
When I actually BELIEVE this and don’t just spit out some words that sound good…my life CAN become a prayer and an offering.
It’s a beautiful picture to think of…our lives as a prayer. I think I’ll pour another cup of coffee and ponder on it even more.

Amazing. Today’s thought really makes me think.
Never really thought of Bon Jovi’s song but it really is the truth, we need to be livin on prayer.
