Luke 1.
MORNING THOUGHTS ☕️: If Luke 1 doesn’t rock your socks off…I don’t even know. It always just about does me in. I’d forgotten about these scriptures, and reading them yesterday morning…well, cue the tears.
“Don’t be afraid...for I’ve come to tell you that your prayer for a child has been answered. Elizabeth...in her old age...will have a son. His name will be John. He will bring you much joy & gladness. Many will rejoice because of him. He will be one of the great ones in the sight of God. He will be a forerunner and will be instrumental in turning the hearts of the father’s back to their children. He will prepare a people who are ready for the Lord’s appearing.”
Elizabeth...had a son…in her old age…not because of anything she DID, but because NOT ONE promise from God is empty of power...for NOTHING IS IMPOSSIBLE with God.
Shew. I can’t even handle it. Did God record that just for me!?!
Here are a few of my other takeaways:
God’s ways are not our ways.
His promises are full of power and will come to pass in HIS appointed time.
We must be willing, be overshadowed, be a servant.
Unbelief will always silence our voices and cause us to not be able to speak with any level of authority. (Zechariah)
If you didn’t get to read it yesterday, make time to read it today! It’s sooo good.
On to Chapter 2!
Xox.
