Morning Thoughts

Thinking this morning about the HUGE difference in self-awareness versus awareness of self.

Often, we go through seasons where the Lord really begins to highlight awareness of things within SELF that we need to see. His way is NEVER judgmental or condemning…it’s gentle and kind and it opens your eyes to “see” something in a way you never did before. It brings TRUE change. Healthy change.

Self-awareness, on the other hand, produces introspection, navel gazing, wrong focus, condemnation, and the change it brings is unhealthy.

One lasts. One is fleeting.

One brings life. One brings death.

One is grounded in truth. One is grounded in lies.

SELF-awareness versus awareness of SELF.

God’s way or man’s.
