“Don’t you see...that ole “do it yourself life” has nothing in it for YOU...not one thing. The best thing to do is to give it a decent burial and GET ON with your new life. GOD’S SPIRIT BECKONS. There are things to do and places to go! This life you’ll receive is not a timid life...it’s a life full of adventure. It greets God with childlike wonder and a “what’s next” attitude. God’s spirit touches our spirit and confirms WHO WE REALLY ARE.”

Gah. That’s one of my favorites! All of Romans 8 is SO DARN GOOD.

God’s spirit touches our spirit and confirms who we REALLY are....😍

That means the only way to TRULY know who you REALLY are is by the spirit. Not by what you do, what others say, what you majored in, what your childhood made you believe...nope...none of that will work. It’s a deep work...this discovering who we REALLY are. It’s for the brave, not timid...for the adventurous, not lackadaisical. It takes a willingness to have things stripped away. It takes being willing to die to all you thought you knew and all YOU had fashioned together to be “you.” Oh...but it’s the BEST journey...this becoming who we really were all along...this removal of any and all labels affixed on us by self or others...so we can get down to the nitty gritty of who HE says we are and carry on with the new life that beckons.
