MORNING THOUGHTS ☕️: I want to talk just a little bit more about that BOAT in Luke 5. Well…I could talk a lot more about it, but it’s Saturday and I need another cup of coffee so just this:

Simon Peter had been in the same boat, in the same sea, on the same day, using the same nets, and caught NOTHING.

When he let Jesus USE HIS BOAT…when he let Jesus GET IN HIS BOAT, when he let Jesus be the one in control of the boat…

OVERFLOW.

Peter went from STRIVING all night trying to catch fish in his own strength to simply being along for the ride and watching Jesus do it and not just do it…but do it BIG.

They were awestruck.

When we let Jesus take what we’ve had our hands on so tightly…when we release our grip on what we believe is the thing that will bring us the provision…when we stop striving and begin trusting…HE can take it and fill it to overflowing.
