Order

We had a busy weekend. Subsequently, my house is out of order today. Homecoming, music festival and birthday made for piles of clothes and dishes and just general messiness.

Today, after my time with the lord first and foremost, I MUST get my house back in order.

I feel like this is such a visual for us. If we stay BUSY… out there…doing stuff…all the time…in HERE, order gets all messed up.

And I’m telling you…it just won’t fly for long. You may feel like you’re holding it all together, but it’s a facade.

Order MUST start in HEART + HOME.

Period. End of story. No exceptions.

Your office may be in order but if your marriage isn’t…well then…

Your bank account may be in order, but if your children aren’t…well then …

Your organization may be in order but if your heart isn’t…well then…

We MUST first get our hearts and our homes in order if we want to truly flourish. Before I can “do” a thing today..I must take time to “do” what needs to be done in MY OWN HOUSE.

Working on everybody else’s house…be it spiritual or natural…while yours is out of order is NOT the order God intended.

Today, take a pause, take inventory, take a look around and then CHOOSE to get your own house in order before you put your hands to another thing.

Sorry, not sorry.
