MORNING THOUGHTS ☕️: I shared yesterday on Facebook that on August 15th I will be having hip-replacement surgery. Hallelujah.
I’ve been in a ton of pain for a long time. Most, I’ve believed to be auto-immune related. But this leg pain…shew. It’s gotten to the point of being almost crippling.
I’ve been thinking about it a lot…this visual of tying to walk + function with a JOINT that is completely not working and a body that is out of alignment because of it.
I want YOU to think of that visual this morning as well…for ourselves and then for for the body of Christ.
Us. When we are out of joint…our walk WILL be hindered. Period, end of story. It can cause pain in so many areas of our lives. It can bring on lethargy and depression and belief that we will never be able to “walk” again. We can look for all of the causes of this pain and blame it on many things, but the bottom line is, we are out of joint and NOT in the proper alignment, and until THAT root issues is corrected, nothing will change.
The Body of Christ: IF every joint supplies (and it does), then when a MAJOR JOINT is out of whack, the whole is hindered greatly. What happens above in the individual example, happens across the board for the body. Lethargy, unbelief, systemic pain, a hindered walk.
Ephesians 4:16 “From Him the whole body [the church, in all its various parts], joined and knitted firmly together by what every JOINT supplies, when each part is working properly, causes the body to grow and mature, building itself up in [unselfish] love.”
When a major joint is not firmly in place and not working properly, what does that look like? I’m asking the questions and using MY body as a visual to understand and discover more.
