Over planning.

MORNING THOUGHTS ☕️: Excessive planning does NOT bring us peace. Oh, the world wants us to think it does. We’re told to plan, forecast, figure it out. But God did not design our minds to figure it all out. He designed us for constant communication with Him.

Over planning is actually a form of unbelief. We don’t dare trust our future to an unknown God ... so we plan, plan, plan...then go to work to CONTROL those plans.

Just when we try to prepare for multiple possibilities...sure enough...something unexpected pops up and throws us into confusion. There we go.  Out of Peace in 2.2.

I used to give the example of trying to be the producer of the movie of my life versus being IN it, surprised at the next scene, and directed by the one who knows the full script.

One way brings stress. One way brings surprise and wonder and peace.

We get to decide which way to go.
