Heading back up to Todd, NC this morning for church and woke up thinking about storms. Even before this physical storm hit last week, our family was going through a metaphorical storm.
And yet. Somehow. In the midst of BOTH, we have felt extreme peace.
I was picking up tree limbs the other day and realized that not only did I have and feel extreme peace…I felt JOY. Did you know that joy in the Strong’s concordance (#7440) is a verb that means shouting, loud cheering in TRIUMPH, shouting at the time of a GREAT victory.
Psalm 30:5 tells us that weeping may endure for a night, but JOY comes in the morning.
How do we have such JOY in the midst of such STORMS?
We hang out and stick real close to Jesus in the boat. He was AT REST when the winds and the seas kicked up. He KNEW that JOY (triumphant victory) was the outcome.
Today, let’s all rejoice and shout and twirl and cheer in triumph over all of these storms in our midst.

Love you all,
