I’ve had no less than 4 convos the past few days with women who have historically been high performing/high functioning/driven. ALL have felt “stalled” in setting “BIG” goals for this year. Instead of encouraging them to push through…I’ve jumped up and down and cheered that they are getting to the place of learning to live from REST.
Our culture imposes on us the belief that we better have some big ole goals set, written down, and with a clear action plan and steps in place on how to achieve them.
DRAINING.
It will keep you on the hamster wheel of performance if you’re not careful. Ask me how I know:).
What if you EASED into this new year instead of pouncing on it? What if you partnered with the Lord and went at HIS pace instead of the pace others (and yourself) have placed on you? What if you soaked in front of the fire, enjoyed the tree a little longer, read a little more, RESTED and actually listened to your body begging you to slow down.
What if?
Let 2025 be the year you no longer buy into hustle culture, boss babe, make it happen vibes and you actually slow down, stop striving and start living day by day … resting in the truth that you are amazing day one, right out of the gate, before you “achieve” a dang thing.

“He holds our souls in life, and steadfast makes our ways.” In the song in my spirit. I, too, am being guided to come close, listen, and walk on the heights, both of the land and in the Spirit, rather than shape up goals.
Good word!
