MORNING THOUGHTS ☕️:

When we cry, we taste salty.

That was my thought driving down the mountain this morning.

So wouldn’t it stand to reason that IF we are the “salt of the earth” ... that our saltiness, our flavor, our seasoning, comes out MOST when we are broken and raw and real. When we are most human...crying human tears? When we can admit our weakness, our inability to hold it all together...when our tears can run often and freely?

Wouldn’t it also then make sense that we actually LOSE our saltiness but being tough and strong and “perfect”. That’s not tasty. Seeing you be some perfect Christian sure doesn’t open me up to want to share MY heart and weaknesses.

Tears. Brokenness. Needy. Weak. Dependent. All words the world doesn’t value but the Lord sure does. Maybe then, it stands to reason that there’s way more value in our brokenness and our weaknesses than in our strengths.
