SEARCH.

MORNING THOUGHTS ☕️: Good morning sunshines! I’m clearly a little late this morning. Senior week ain’t no joke. Sooo much activity going on and we’re soaking up every minute of it, but it makes early mornings tricky.

Speaking of which. I’m going to have “summer hours”. Yup. Not setting that alarm all summer. I don’t sleep late…but I don’t want to rush. I’ll plan on having your MORNING THOUGHTS arrive by around 9am. Holla.

Ok. So here’s my thought for today. I was going somewhere totally different, but this is what was happening in my head coming up the mountain. Ya’ll, I get slammed with doubt and second guessing myself. I don’t like it. It’s not a fun thing. But it happens. It’s a battle I definitely have to battle. People think I’m confident, and I am so that’s not fake…but the flip side is major doubt. I’ll examine that more later. That’s not my point this morning:)

So…I’m coming up the mountain with doubt because I changed my insta handle to @acontrarylife. One of the reasons people say DO NOT do this so that people can FIND you.

Here was my thought…talking back to myself…”yes, but if they SEARCH FOR ME, they will find me. It’s not hard.”

There’s our PROMISE. God / Jesus / Holy Spirit may not be walking up to you and me and tapping us on the shoulder and saying “Hey! It’s me! Here I am.” But I can guarantee you that if we SEARCH for Him…even just a little, it doesn’t take much…we will find him because he’s right there.

Our world has gotten so lazy and so accustomed to having everything handed to us and to be able to FIND anything we need, order anything we need, learn anything we need, at the touch of a button.

Could we not just SEARCH a little? Just sit in the yard…look at the trees, the birds, the AIR we’re breathing in, the babies being born, the miracles all around…could we, would we DARE to SEARCH for God in those?

We google search all day long. Poof there it is. Today, let’s dare to dig a little deeper and search for him WITH ALL OF OUR HEART…he’s really not hard to find, I promise. He’s simply waiting for you and I to care enough to search.
