MORNING THOUGHTS ☕️
WHAT. DOES. SEPTEMBER. HOLD?
I USED to TELL September what it held.
Well, really, every month.
I’d get out that blank calendar, decide what I wanted, write those goals in big ole letters at the top of the page…and then…I’d lock in.
Makes me wonder how much I missed having those blinders on heading towards those goals.
Now, instead of asking myself what I WANT, I ask the Lord what HE wants…what HE says this month holds…and then, I write THAT at the top of the page.
One posture, I’m directing. One posture, He is.
I can tell you which one feels better…living with wonder and anticipation and NOT being in the driver’s seat all the time, but more often, simply along for the ride.

I love this and needed this too. The permission to not throw out the calendar, just the way I approach it. This also reminds me about a thought I’ve been pondering for months. That a legalistic person and simply deeply in love - might look the same from the outside. They might do a lot of the same things. But the posture of their heart is different.
