Sleep On It

MORNING THOUGHTS ☕️: What looked BAD at night could look BETTER in the morning.

I guess this is why we’ve always heard the saying “sleep on it.” I guess it’s true. At least…in my 53 years of experience, I’m finding it to be so.

It’s actually a promise, you know. That JOY comes in the morning. I guess if it comes in the morning, sitting up stewing over something in the middle of the night is pointless. Let’s just sleep and set our alarms to JOY time.

And if HIS mercies are new every morning…then I guess that could mean that at 3am when we’re stressing and stewing…we’re actually at the tail end of yesterday’s mercy and it’s for sure starting to feel like it and it’s for sure pointless to even be up.

So. Lesson to myself from my rambling of thoughts:

1. Don’t make any decisions at night.

2. “Sleep on it” is legit.

3. Like REALLY sleep on it…don’t stay up.

4. Wake up excited for the joy + mercy heading my way.
