The big stuff IS the small stuff.

MORNING THOUGHTS ☕️: This was a memory pop-up for me this morning…but interestingly enough, I had a very similar conversation about this with my cousins who visited yesterday. The whole way people have been conditioned to make their career their life instead of living their life and having their career support that. Anyway. Thought this was worth a re-share:

The small stuff IS the big stuff. We’ve had it backwards all along.

We’ve been conditioned to think WORK and CAREER and pursuing BIG THINGS is what life is all about. We come home and “fit in” chores and cooking and home stuff and kids and oh yeah, husband...and all the “little stuff” we “have” to do to so we can get back to the “big stuff” tomorrow.

It’s such a lie. Cooking supper, doing the dishes, sitting at the kitchen table not rushed, not stressed, not thinking about tomorrow’s list...being FULLY present for the ones right in front of our face...IS the BIG stuff. This IS LIFE.

We’ve been focused on the wrong things for way too long.
