The straight. The squiggly. The steady.
MORNING THOUGHTS ☕️: Happy Monday Sunshines! Sharing a verse out of Psalm 119. I love it in the Passion Translation:
“You’re blessed when you stay on course...walking STEADILY on the road revealed by God. You’re blessed when you follow His directions, doing your best to find Him. That’s right...you don’t go off on your own; you walk straight along the road HE set.”
It reminded me of something the Lord said to me in 2017: BE AN ARROW.
Oh how I’d love to think I’ve been an arrow...straight and focused and on target and sure...but at times, I’ve been more like a squiggly line.
“Doing your best” is also super comforting in that passage. I mean, He clearly factors in our humanness on a pretty regulars basis and thankfully, He uses ALL of it for good.
Today, I’m going to spend some time pondering the straight, the squiggly and the steady and looking back to see how, in the end, he uses it all.

As a leader I’ve made the mistake of expecting perfection both of myself and those on our team. Today all I ask is that we do our best in everything we do. It will never be perfect but it will please Him.
