Trust.

MORNING THOUGHTS ☕️: “TRUST in the Lord with ALL of your heart and do not lean on your OWN understanding.” - Proverbs 3:5-6

Here it is in the Passion Translation:

“Trust in the Lord COMPLETELY, and do not rely on your own opinions. With ALL your heart rely on Him to guide you, and He will lead you in every decision you make.”

Lord have mercy, that’s good.

Trust: confident expectation. Leaning on the strength and ability of another.

Oh gosh. Wait a minute. That means giving up control. Can we discuss this? Can’t we just trust in the Lord in some areas but not all?

Nope. It says ALL of your heart. All means all.

And can’t we just decide on our own where we want to go or what we want to do and then ask him to come along for the ride?

I mean. We can. But it’s not the best order, I’d say:). Rely on Him. Let Him lead. It’s a much better way.
