I want to expand on my thought from yesterday. It started out with “God uses ALL things for good” … and, He does.
But. Here’s the catch that I had an aha over recently. I used to read that and believe or think that it meant He’d use it for MY good. So often, He does. But y’all…that thought is a reflection of a myopic, self-focused world that doesn’t really get the BIG picture.
Some of our HARD, God will use for good and we may never know what that good is until we get to heaven. The good may be for a complete stranger. The good may be for our great, great grandchildren. The good may be for those around us. He uses all things for good means for the GREATER GOOD. Not simply MY good. Gah. So short-sighted.
You and I may never know the ripple effect of our trials. Bottom line, for me, is that if He uses ALL THINGS for good, then I can trust Him in ALL things even when I don’t understand them OR see “good” from them in my own life.
Make sense? Good:).
Love you.

It’s true! Some of our HARDEST times, ultimately, pushed us closer to the Lord.
I was thinking the other day that, if Ken hadn’t died, I probably wouldn’t have the relationship with God that I have…because I wouldn’t have been so desperate for it. I can be thankful for that!
